Royal fans spot surprising detail in photo of Buckingham Palace

Royal fans have commended Queen Elizabeth II after spotting a telling detail in a new photo of Buckingham Palace released this week.

An image from the royal residence was shared to the Royal Family’s official Twitter account after Her Majesty held a private audience to present British pianist Imogen Cooper with her Medal for Music.

Royal spectators, who are always keen to zoom into photos and hunt for hidden elements, were quick to spot a surprising feature in the background of a snap released from the event.

Although the Queen is well known for displaying family photos throughout her various properties, fans noticed an unseen collection of photographs kept on one of her side tables.

While it is unknown when the photograph was taken, the couple finalised their divorce in June this year after 13 years of marriage.

Other images spotted include a black-and-white wedding photo of Zara and Mike Tindall from 2011 and a photograph of Prince William and Kate Middleton from their engagement photoshoot in 2010.

The fourth photo in a smaller gold frame that fans have found most interesting is of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from 2018.

A number of social media users were quick to share their reactions to the background photographs, with many calling them “beautiful”.

“Lovely to see a photo of Meghan and Harry on display,” one person tweeted. “Her Majesty said even though they've left their jobs they would always be members of the family and great to see a reflection of that.”

The discovery comes shortly after fans noticed a surprising detail in photos of Clarence House, Prince Charles’ residence with Camilla Parker Bowles, that were shared online in August.

Atop a carved wooden desk were framed photographs of the 72-year-old’s two sons, Princes William and Harry, who are rumoured to have been feuding for several years now since the latter's defection to the US.

The photo of Harry sparked outrage from a number of fans online who called out Charles for ‘not supporting’ his son in recent times.

“Don’t post a picture of Harry if you can’t put pen to paper or open your mouth to defend him," one person accused.

“Leave Harry ALONE. You didn't support him and Archie. What a shame! Repent!” another added.
