Russian airstrikes target Kharkiv with ‘carousel’ bombing tactic

Russian forces are using a "carousel" tactic during bombings of Kharkiv, Ukraine's Air Force spokesperson Illya Yevlash, reported on Ukraine's Channel 5 on May 29.

"In recent days, we have observed several Su-34 and Su-35 aircraft employing a 'carousel' tactic, dropping multiple bombs on Kharkiv," Yevlash said.

The Air Force promptly informs Ukrainian citizens about these activities, he added.

Kharkiv Oblast is currently experiencing the heaviest Russian attacks. The Oblast is being targeted not only by glide bombs but also by Russian S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems, Yevlash said.

Russian strike on Kharkiv's Epicenter on May 25

An explosion rocked a residential area in Kharkiv on May 25, at 4:02 p.m. EET, Mayor Ihor Terekhov confirmed.

Two Russian glide bombs struck the Epicenter hypermarket.

Law enforcement have identified 18 victims of the Russian attack, including a 12-year-old girl and her mother, the Prosecutor General's office reported.
