Russian court orders arrest of FRANCE 24 journalist who reported from Kursk
A Russian court has ordered the arrest of FRANCE 24's senior reporter Catherine Norris Trent on charges of crossing illegally into its western Kursk region to file a report on the Ukrainian army's summer incursion.
A court in Russia has ordered the arrest of FRANCE 24 journalist Catherine Norris Trent on a charge of crossing illegally into its Kursk region from Ukraine, state news agency TASS said on Tuesday.
Russia has launched criminal cases against a number of Western journalists who have reported from Kursk, where Ukrainian troops broke across the border in early August and carved out a slice of Russian territory.
FRANCE 24's senior reporter and other Western journalists were given access to Ukrainian-held areas of Kursk region following the surprise incursion, embedded with the Ukrainian army.

Russia has opened proceedings against journalists from US channel CNN, the Italian RAI and the German Deutsche Welle news organisations, among others.
