Russian ex-convicts killed three residents in Kherson Oblast

Russian soldiers shot dead three civilians in the temporarily occupied village of Kokhany in Kherson Oblast, the Russian Telegram channel Astra reported on March 19.

Neighbors discovered the bodies of the three men in the hallway of one of the houses after hearing gunshots on March 15, the report said. The victims sustained gunshot wounds to the head.

Authorities have arrested the suspects in the killings, identifying them as 36-year-old serviceman Alexei Bulelin and 37-year-old Muntian Tarasenko from Volgograd Oblast, Astra said.

The Russian soldiers had previous criminal records, the report said.

Bulelin received a suspended sentence for car theft in 2010.

Tarasenko was convicted of violent actions, Astra said, citing combined databases.
