Sara Bareilles revealed that she has “fully recovered” after being sick with coronavirus

In a recent upload to her Instagram Story, singer and songwriter Sara Bareilles confirmed that she had and has since recovered from coronavirus (COVID-19). Though she doesn’t say if she tested positive, she told followers that she had a “couple rough days” during which she seemingly experienced the symptoms—the most troublesome being shortness of breath.

“I’m really quiet right now…just sort of taking all of this in and having a lot of feelings as I do,” Bareilles said in a video posted to her Story on April 2nd. She was filming herself taking a walk through her local park.

“I had it, just so you know,” she said. “I’m fully recovered.”

The Broadway star said she’s thinking about everyone else “walking through this really tricky time” and is sending them her love. And added that, having made it through COVID-19, she’s feeling grateful for every “easy breath and every day that I get to be walking around.”

In a later Instagram Story, Bareilles clarified the specifics of her illness, after saying that she received concerned messages from fans.

“I had a very mild case of COVID, and am counting my blessings for that,” she said. “I am totally fine and fully recovered. Couple of rough days but I promise I’m fine.”

Having been through the worst of it, as she says, she’s free to finish the half-done puzzle on her table. We’re wishing Bareilles a safe and restful remainder of her quarantine period.
