SE Qld motorists warned of flooding risk

Brisbane residents in coastal suburbs are being urged to keep their cars away from streets prone to flooding for the rest of this week.

King tides are expected to affect Queensland's southeast coast over coming days, with the highest winter tides due on Friday night and reaching 1.93-metres on the Gold Coast and 2.74-metres at the Brisbane Bar.

"If you live in a low-lying or flood prone area, don't take any risks, park your vehicles in a safe location," RACQ spokeswoman Clare Hunter said.
