Section of M25 closed temporarily over vehicle fire

Traffic was stopped on a section of the M25 in Surrey on Wednesday after a vehicle caught fire.

National Highways said traffic was stopped just after 08:30BST on the anti-clockwise carriageway near junction six at Godstone.

Traffic was released about 30 minutes later, though one lane remained closed.

National Highways said fire fighters were on the scene and delays of at least 45 minutes were expected.

Surrey Fire and Rescue Service has been contacted for more information.
