Selena Gomez quietly celebrated her 28th birthday on Wednesday with a dreamy outdoor midsummer dinner. The singer shared a couple Polaroids from the event on her Instagram, telling fans she opted to stay off the 'gram during her July 22 birthday. Two of her close friends, Raquelle Stevens and Courtney Lopez, teased photos of the decor on their own Instagrams.
"Left my phone for most of yesterday to be present in the moment, but have been reading all of your posts today," Gomez captioned her post last night. "Just wanted to say thank you for every single message- I feel so much love from y’all 🥰 I love you guys so much and here’s to 28 💘"

Stevens shared a shot of the dinner setup on her own Instagram. There were umbrellas, pink petals, and a long table set up for a meal at sunset, with pink pastel pillow seats. "Birthday magic ✨💕" she captioned it.

Lopez and Stevens were among many friends to share tributes to Gomez on Instagram on her birthday. Lopez shared a grid post of her and Gomez on Thursday, writing, "was too busy celebrating yesterday that I forgot to post. I’ll leave all the mushy stuff in the card but love you forever @selenagomez 🤍"
