Shameless star Emmy Rossum has paid tribute to the show after learning of its fate.

Earlier this week, it was announced that the US adaptation of Shameless would be coming to an end after its upcoming 11th season, news that Rossum stumbled upon via her Twitter feed.

"Just learned about SHAMELESS on Twitter! Eleven seasons is ten more than most shows get! Bravo to an incredible run for a wonderful cast and crew," she tweeted.

Emmy stunned fans back in 2018 when she announced that she would be leaving the role of Fiona, something that the drama's showrunner John Wells was "in denial" about confronting.

Now, the actress is gearing up for her next TV show with the character of Angelyne, a mysterious billboard icon and local LA celebrity who has intrigued Americans and tourists alike with her Barbie-like image.

Recently, Emmy shared a polaroid of herself in character for the upcoming series Angelyne, appearing totally transformed with Angelyne's trademark platinum blonde hair and hot pink leather dress.

"The adventure begins..." Emmy wrote on Twitter.

Angelyne, which will premiere on NBC's new streaming service Peacock, is based on an investigative feature by The Hollywood Reporter, which claimed to uncover the star's true identity.
