With record-low temperatures, the cooler climate has raised our wardrobe with a subtle formality, elegant turtle necks are a daily staple and tailored trench coats line our silhouettes.

We're not alone in taking the opportunity to dress in chic winter style either.

According to Pet Circle, pet winter fashion sales have seen an increase of 160 per cent compared to last June.

Australian TikTok star Mochapom, a Pomeranian with 13.8 million followers, is one of the many 'pupfluencers' taking pet style to a new level, frequently modelling Sherpa-lined coats and puffer jackets while riding a white Mercedes convertible.

In just one week, the posh Pomeranian has drawn in 250,000 video views showcasing Pet Circle's new winter range and people can't get enough.

"Absolutely Adorable in these amazing outfits Mochapom," one user wrote.

"The outfits was so🔥," a second added.

Another had eyes on Mocha's German whip: "Where is the car from? I need one for my pomeranian," they asked regarding Mochapom's miniature Mercedes.

The pet retailer offers a range of cosy winter clothing including Sherpa-lined hoodies with Subzero Microfleece, weatherproof puffer jackets and cable knit jumpers in a range of chic pastel hues.

Dr Tegan says that “if you are not sure whether your dog is feeling cold and needs a coat, consider your dog’s breed as some breeds with very thick coats, such as Huskies or Alaskan Malamutes, may not require a coat in the Australian winter.”

Smaller dogs and puppies with thin coats like greyhounds, boxers, cattle dogs and even staffies can feel the cold and would benefit from a coat, jumper of even pyjamas in the morning and night.

When shopping Pet Circle's winter range, make sure you measure your pup to ensure you get the right size, enabling mess-free toilet trips and consider a coat with adjustable or velcro straps.

If your struggling to stress your pooch, Dr Tegan suggests putting clothes or pjs on for short periods of time and giving them treats and praise to ensure a happy, calm experience.
