Shoppers running to Kmart to buy $29 summer essential: 'Best thing'

With summer fast approaching and the weather heating up, Aussies have begun visiting the beach and using their pool more and more to try and stay cool. Some people have also been purchasing viral products like ice baths and over-shoulder fans which help you survive the warmer months at a very low cost.

Whether or not you own a pool, Kmart shoppers have been going wild for a $29 item described as a “must-have” for summer. The 2-in-1 inflatable pool lounger can either be used to float above the water or be filled with water as a personal pool.

It’s designed for comfort and durability with a removable headrest and cup holder and is suitable to be used on grass or water.

TikTok creator Madi Morris (@madssmorris) praised the product in a recent video which has since racked up over 300,000 views, and admitted it’s “easily the best purchase [she’s] made in a long time”.

“You need to run to Kmart because I have the best thing to show you,” she said. “This is perfect if you don’t have a pool or you’re not a beach person or you don’t have a beach nearby. I have been needing this my whole life. I just know these are gonna sell out, so girl you better run.”

'Can't recommend more'

Shoppers quickly took to the comments to say they were rushing to Kmart to buy one, with one person writing: “I got this and I can’t recommend more! Amazing.”

“I’m getting this to put in my pool and float,” another added, while a third said, “Getting this to put in my pool and tan on my pool”.

“I went and got this today because of you, I’m so keen to try it,” someone else replied, followed by a different user who said, “Omg I love this!”.

“Kmart just have everything,” another declared.

Kmart's warning over popular item

While the 2-in-1 inflatable pool lounger has been flying off the shelves, Kmart has listed several warnings online about how to correctly use it.

Firstly, the product is suitable for ages 10 and up and has a maximum weight capacity of 90kg. Kmart also urges people not to use the product in open water as there is a risk of capsizing, and shoppers should follow usage instructions carefully.

What other pool accessories does Kmart sell?

Kmart sells a variety of inflatable pool accessories ranging from $5 to $39 for both adults and kids, including ride-on sharks, crocodiles, avocados, flamingos and unicorns.

They also recently began selling the Acquaboss Water Hammock for $49, which is UV-protected and mould-resistant and comes with a waterproof phone sleeve and inflatable drink holder.
