Ann Coulter Deletes Heartless Gus Walz Tweet After Backlash
Right wing bomb-thrower Ann Coulter took aim at Tim Walz’s 17-year-old neurodiverse son, Gus, for crying while his father spoke at the DNC on Wednesday night.
Gus stood up and began pointing at his father as he spoke last night, appearing to shout “that’s my dad” as he sobbed through his words.
“Hope, Gus and Gwen–you are my entire world, and I love you,” Walz responded from the podium.
May we all be fortunate enough to love and be loved by a child like Gus Walz. pic.twitter.com/a1N3bYaHP1

The Walz family have told how Gus, the younger of their two children, has a non-verbal learning disorder diagnosed as he became a teenager.
“It took time, but what became so immediately clear to us was that Gus’ condition is not a setback—it’s his secret power,” they told People Magazine in a statement.
The moment Gus got to his feet clapping, crying and pointing at his father was captured live on TV and prompted an outpouring of positivity for the teenager.
But it was also latched on to by elements of the online right, with Coulter writing “Talk about weird...” in a post on X Thursday. The Harris-Walz campaign has successfully been using the ‘weird’ description to describe Donald Trump and JD Vance.
However, she appeared to quickly delete the post after social media erupted with anger. (In case you missed it, we screenshotted it.)
Her comment immediately drew criticism online with people hitting back at Coulter for her tweet.
I can see why a child loving their parents would feel foreign to you

I am conservative and all these vile comments and attacks on a poor kid with special needs is unacceptable and must be called out. It isn't weird, he loves his dad and is proud of him.

I know that you don't have any children and I know no one loves you, but it is not weird for a child to love their parent @AnnCoulter. We call your side weird for wanting credit for crowd sizes. You call our side weird for loving our family. I'll take our side any day.

This is a direct quote from you in 2011 …. “Christianity fuels everything I write.” Sorry, Ann, but there’s nothing Christian about your comment above. I don’t think Jesus would like this one little bit. I’ll pray for you

No one will ever cry for Ann Coulter.
