There’s something very wrong with this kid’s swimsuit
She’s one of everyone’s favourite Disney characters but Ariel the Mermaid got a controversial new look while appearing on a child’s swimsuit.
British shopper Chelsee Mosson was the first to notice Ariel’s very understated outfit while wandering the aisles at her local Asda.

“Absolutely mortified to see this on Asda’s shelf this evening – a 3-4 year old swimming costume. What’s going on?” Chelsee tweeted.
With Chelsee posting an image of the offending bathing suit, it was clear to see something had gone very wrong in the printing process, with Ariel losing her shell bra somewhere along the way.
Chelsee wasn’t the only outraged shopper taken aback by the sight of topless Ariel.
“I couldn’t believe it when I saw Ariel without her shells on – Asda staff should have spotted this as soon as the swimsuit was made,” fellow shopper Rachel Greaves told The Sun.
“God only knows how it slipped through quality control, but Ariel topless is certainly not how I want to think of a film I grew up with.”
An Asda spokesperson later revealed the problem was being addressed, with naked Ariel swimmers being taken off shelves.
Hi Chelsee, this is a printing error on the costume and has been flagged with the relevant manager. Thanks for bringing 1/2

“It only affected a very small number of the swimsuits which were available from George, but we’d like to reassure our customers that we have removed all stock from sale and will ensure this doesn’t happen again,” they said.
