Ahhh, the sound of silence. Haven’t heard that in awhile? Neither have we. But thankfully, Amazon has the Big Red Rooster White Noise Machine on sale for just $15 — down from $30. That's half off!

So if you want better sleep (who doesn’t?), try muffling background noise with this soon-to-be-indispensable sanity saver. Use it to combat a snorer or loud city noises. Try it in the office for privacy when making phone calls, or in a baby’s room to lull little Charlie off to dreamland. Over 17,400 Amazon reviewers have bestowed a five-star rating on this sanity saver. One of them even uses it in her bathroom!

Of course, Amazon will give you free shipping on orders of $25 or more. However, if you have Amazon Prime, you’ll free shipping on everything, and so much more — from access to new movies and TV shows, discounts at Whole Foods, exclusive sales and two-day shipping on many, many items. With the Red Rooster, you can choose from Rain, Brook, Ocean, Thunder, White Noise or Summer Night sounds. You can leave it on all night or set the timer to turn it off in 15, 30 or 60 minutes. Plug-in or battery-operated, it’s compact enough to take on vacation (isn’t it annoying when room service wakes you up in the middle of a dream? The nerve!).

“This sound machine has helped my husband fall right to sleep," said one five-star fan. "We live close to railroad tracks, which lead to a flour mill. The trains stop and idle right behind our house while loading and unloading. The engine rumbling is not conducive to a good night’s sleep. This sound machine has six different sounds to lull you to sleep and it is really helping him fall asleep and stay asleep. It has a timer to shut the sounds off, but he keeps it on all night. If he wakes, it helps him go right back to sleep. It is also good looking, and just the right size. I highly recommend this sound machine.”

Another five-star reviewer shared a yarn from the farm: “We have livestock guardian dogs who do what LGDs are supposed to do — guard our livestock. Not by attacking anything that threatens, but by barking... all night long.... at anything that might creep in the dark. It'd been MONTHS since we'd had an uninterrupted night's sleep.... So we decided to try this gadget. WOW. What a difference the Big Red Rooster Sound Machine makes. TBH, we're not crazy about the water-based sounds. (Well, I'm not. They make me want to get up to pee.) But the "summer night" sound, with crickets, is perfect for masking the barking LGDs and letting us get some rest.” Country comfort, indeed.
