Apparently, Spider-Man's Iron-Spider costume in Avengers: Infinity War is no longer good enough for the web-slinger, because his costume for the upcoming sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming will feature some major changes.

According to Homecoming and Ant-Man and The Wasp costume designer Louise Frogley – who won't be working on the Spider-Man sequel – his new attire will reflect the fact that the character (played by Tom Holland) has become more of a man.

"I am not actually working on that film, but the costumes will have very big changes because, in the film, Spider-Man becomes more like man and not teenager," she told India West.

When Frogley was designing the costume for the first film, Marvel decided that simpler was better, hence why they ended up taking it back to the earlier years.

"Marvel researched very thoroughly, and they were very clever about the decision and decided it should be pretty simple," Frogley explained. "As a young guy, he had his homemade suit, and then he has this beautiful suit that Tony Stark gives him, which is pretty cool."

It remains to be seen how Spider-Man will be utilised in the MCU after the events of Avengers: Infinity War – Tom Holland has even joked that he won't be coming back at all.

But one thing's for sure: they have plenty of source material to rely on for costume inspiration.

Avengers 4 and Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 are expected to hit cinemas in April and July 2019 respectively.
