Star War Episode IX releases first trailer and title
Both the first trailer and the name of the next Star Wars instalment has been dropped, and fans can’t contain their excitement.
The 2 minute sneak peek dropped at the 2019 Star Wars Celebration, and is the first full length teaser for Episode IX.

The film’s name was confirmed as The Rise of Skywalker, and it’s due to screen in the US in December.
If the brand new trailer is anything to go by, fans can expect high stakes and higher drama in the next instalment.
The trailer features characters Rei, who is stranded in a desert, Lando Calrissian – whose at the helm of the Millenium Falcon – Luke Skywalker, and what many have pinned as Palpatines laugh at the very end.
“It’s never the end,” says Skywalker in the trailer, and that would seem to be the case; the film is the franchise’s ninth instalment.
Ecstatic fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts ahead of the much-anticipated film with reactions varying between the worried:

The emotional:
Yes, I know I am a HUGE nerd — but seriously: nothing brings me to tears like a J.J. @starwars trailer. The man has a gift. #episodeIX

And the barely containable excitement:
Watching Star Wars teaser for the hundredth time today, don’t know how I’m going to make it until December #StarWarsEpisodeIX

Here’s to hoping we can hang on until December!
