We all know that TV's biggest fantasy show - Outlander - is coming to an end (although we're being tortured with a year-plus wait for it), but what about the other swords and sex epics? If they wrap up as well, what are we going to do with ourselves?!
Well it doesn't look like the Starz showis going anywhere soon, even though further seasons beyond this year haven't yet been confirmed.
Speaking at the Television Critics Association winter press tour (via Entertainment Weekly), the CEO of the Starz network, Chris Albrecht, said that he was having "productive discussions about the future of the show" with the producers at Sony Pictures Television.
"I wouldn't worry too much about that."
Season four is currently in production, and will adapt the fourth book in Diana Gabaldon's series of novels. Currently, eight books have been written with a ninth on the way, so there is plenty of source material to mine.
"Our biggest problem is we don't kill (lead actors) Caitriona and Sam along the way. The two of them are fantastic and deserve every bit of the accolades they have received," Albrecht said.
Notably, Gabaldon recently had to deny she was plotting to kill off her main characters, and was baffled such rumours would spread in the first place.
Outlander is expected to return for its 'epic' fourth season during the Fall (read: Autumn) of this year.
Outlander is available to watch on Amazon Prime Video in the UK.
