Stephen Colbert Audience Goes Absolutely Wild Over 1 Scathing DNC Line About Trump

Stephen Colbert recapped the third night of the Democratic National Convention on Wednesday, and there was one moment his live audience especially loved.

Speaking at the DNC, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) compared Donald Trump to a desperate ex who won’t go away.

“He has spent the last four years spinning the block, trying to get back into a relationship with the American people,” Jeffries said. “Bro, we broke up with you for a reason.”

Colbert’s audience cheered for some 15 seconds in response to the line.
