It's no secret that grime superstar Stormzy is just like the rest of us when it comes to being a fan of Love Island, but in tonight's episode (July 20), Stormzy managed to do what most ordinary fans can only dream of: pop into the villa and chat to the Islanders.

In preparation for the Love Island 2017 Talent Show, aspiring rap stars Kem, Chris and Marcel (otherwise known as Run KMC) were gearing up for another great performance when the main man himself appeared on a surprise video call to share some words of wisdom.

"Obviously Stormzy's a big name, but we're also a big name," Kem said later in the Beach Hut. "So it's just like seeing a friend."

News of his appearance soon spread, but considering he dropped by just a few days after the show's brutal tweet challenge – during which a tweet from Stormzy was read out that revealed he thought Chris was too good for Olivia after the pair coupled up – it wasn't long before Liv cashed in on her chance to confront the artist.

"Yo Liv!" he reacted. "Hey Liv, no hard feelings, man. No hard feelings."

Yeah, just a bit awkward then.

But at least the viewers were definitely all loving it:

The talent show rounded off an episode that saw the remaining couples all treated to one final date in the villa, and although Camilla and Jamie's La La Land-inspired experience was the most swoon-worthy of them all, Chris and Olivia's own date did manage to see the couple overcome Stormzy's doubts to swap 'I love you's on a super yacht.

When it comes to the talent show though, not even Stormzy's advice – "don't use your phones and you're good to go" – could help secure Run KMC's victory.

Instead, joint first place went to Jamie's soulful singing voice... and Alex's awkward lap dancing.

Run KMC were robbed, is all we can say.

Love Island continues on ITV2 tomorrow night (July 21) at 8pm.
