Student, 24, killed at work in 'terrifying' attack
A young woman and graduate student has been killed while alone at work in what police believe to be a random stabbing attack.
A customer found Brianna Kupfer, 24, dead on the floor of high-end Los Angeles furniture store Croft House, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Detectives believe the suspect to be a homeless man.
“Detectives have determined the suspect was not known to the victim and [it] was a random walk into the store,” police said.
“The suspect attacked the victim with a knife and fled the scene through the back door.”
Police said Ms Kupfer was alone at the time of the attack.
The suspect, wearing an N95 mask, was last seen walking in the alley at the rear of the crime scene.

Dr Jennifer Botelho, who owns a chiropractic practice next to the business, told CBS LA the attack was “terrifying”.
“It’s horrible. She’s such a young girl. … We feel so horrible for Brianna’s family, and hope we can catch this guy,” she said.
Dr Botelho added the man initially came into her practice before the attack and asked about orthopedics.
Ms Kupfer’s father told CBS she was “loved by all”.
The 24-year-old had been studying architectural design at UCLA and was working at Croft House as a consultant.
Police are still searching for the suspect.
