Supermodels Have Just Endorsed the Most Controversial Ugg Boot Style

Back in August, Joan Smalls confirmed fall was on its way when she stepped out in Manhattan wearing a pair of Ugg boots and a fleece Ugg jacket. Some said it was premature, considering it was about 90 degrees that day. But in the weeks that followed, she had the last laugh.

Shortly after Smalls stepped out, every other celebrity, including Emily Ratajkowski, began breaking out their Ugg boots, Ugg released its first ready-to-wear collection ever, and Ugg season was declared inevitably and officially happening.

Now supermodel Jasmine Tookes has upped the ante by not just wearing Ugg boots out in Los Angeles but by endorsing a controversial Ugg boot trend: the hot pink Ugg boot. It's the kind of boot Elle Woods and your 3-year-old niece probably own, but clearly Tookes proved the under-the-radar and over-the-top style is just as worthy of our attention as any other.

For one, the world is dark right now, and we could all use some more color. And what better color than hot pink? Also, Ugg boots have a reputation for being comfortable but quiet. They're the type of piece that don't necessarily make a statement — that is, unless they are, once again, hot pink. And if we learned anything from the last time a supermodel stepped out in Ugg boots, in a couple weeks everyone will be wearing these. Ugg season forever.
