Aussie Instagram influencer Tammy Hembrow has been snapped modelling pieces from her athleisure line, Saski Collection, right next to a beachside War Memorial in Surfers Paradise, Queensland.
The 25-year-old was spotted posing up a storm for the camera on Thursday just metres away from the towering sandstone monument emblazoned with the words ‘Lest We Forget’ and ‘ANZAC’.
Tammy and a pair of active-wear clad models were seen squatting, lunging and pouting on the steps leading up to the solemn site, apparently oblivious to what was in front of them.
At one point Tammy dropped onto her haunches with her back to the monument which is located on the corner of the suburb’s main drag, The Esplanade, and Trickett Street, about five minutes walk from the iconic Surfers Paradise sign.
The mum-of-two - she shares Wolf, 3, and Saskia, 2, with ex-fiancé Reece Hawkins - was joined by a small team of three which appeared to consist a hair and makeup artist and two photographers, one using a digital camera and the other a mobile phone.
Erected by Gold Coast City Council on Armistice Day, November 11, 1994, the notable landmark is a regular site for the annual ANZAC Day Dawn Service.
When approached for comment, a City of Gold Coast spokesperson told Yahoo Lifestyle: “Filming and photography of commercial nature requires a Licence from the City under Local Law No.16 (Licensing) 2008.
“Applications must be completed before the activity takes place. We are not currently aware of any licence being issued in relation to this activity”.
According to Monument Australia, a site dedicated to recording monuments throughout the country, the monument commemorates multiple conflicts including the First and Second World Wars, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
One of the two plaques reads:
“Dedicated to all those servicemen
And women who have served
Their Nation in times of conflict.”
Several outfit changes and a lunch break later, the shoot wrapped up and Tammy took to her Instagram account to share a few sneak peeks at the upcoming collection.
“Can’t wait to be showcasing Saski Collection at NYFW again next month,” she captioned a sultry snap of herself sporting a baby blue crop top and matching leggings.
“So excited for you all to see this upcoming collection & to be back in NY with an exclusive presentation @STYLE360NYFW x See N' Shop with @Klarna.usa,” she added.
On her Stories, she posted a video of herself whipping her blonde plaited ponytail while seated on a step with the text, “Can’t waitttt for you guys to see this collection”.
Tammy has been contacted for comment.
Who is Tammy Hembrow?
Aussie-born Tammy Hembrow is a social media influencer and entrepreneur who built her 10.7 million Instagram following by sharing workout programs and meal plans.
As her fame grew, she quickly began mixing with the likes of self-made billionaire Kylie Jenner.
Tammy was infamously removed from Kylie’s birthday party in 2018 by paramedics, making international headlines, and was linked to Kylie’s rapper ex Tyga in January 2019.
Today, she lives in a multi-million dollar mansion on the Gold Coast with her two children and runs a successful activewear company Saski.
Earlier this month, Tammy faced backlash over a risqué photo she used to promote a bushfire fundraiser.
The blonde beauty uploaded an image of herself wearing a wet T-shirt while braless on a luxury yacht to announce that 100 per cent of all proceeds made by Saski over a 24 hour period would be donated to charity.
After briefly deactivating her account due to an influx of negative comments, Tammy swapped out the original image for one of smoke in the clouds and revealed $22,833 would go to Wildlife Rescue South Coast.
