He surprised fans when he announced he wouldn’t be returning to The Block next season, but it turns out Adrian Portelli may be appearing on another TV show in 2025. The billionaire entrepreneur, who made history when he purchased all five of this year’s houses for a whopping $15.03 million, is rumoured to be “in talks” to host his own series on a rival network.

A TV executive has revealed to New Idea that “phones are ringing off the hook” for Adrian after he became one of the most talked about people in the country this week.

“Adrian has managed to do what so many TV shows and talent have failed to do recently and that is captivate audiences,” they said. “He could easily produce and host a renovation-type show of his very own.”

The insider added that Adrian could host something similar to Chris Brown’s renovation series Dream Home on Channel Seven, or have a show based around his LMCT+ giveaway platform where he helps everyday Australians.

While it’s “unlikely” he would do a spin-off on Channel Nine as it would detract from The Block, the 35-year-old could pop up on Channel 10 as they don’t currently have a lifestyle program on their schedule.

“He is TV’s magic man right now and will be in hot demand as networks look to bolster their lineups for the new year,” the source continued. “Adrian is a very smart businessman and in the coming months he’ll likely be entering negotiations with all major TV networks to secure something big.”

After purchasing all five of The Block houses during Sunday night’s auction, Adrian made the surprising announcement that he wouldn’t be returning next season.

“That was my last appearance on The Block and I thought I’d go out with a bang,” he said. “Thanks for having me, it’s been fun.”

Adrian later told The Kyle & Jackie O Show that he had decided to “step away” from The Block because he didn’t want to “overstay [his] welcome” after appearing on three seasons.

He also spoke about his next move during an interview with HIT WA’s Allan & Carly, revealing: “I reckon we might have our own show, to be honest!”

While some viewers theorised that Adrian would donate The Block 2024 houses to charity or list them as Airbnbs, he revealed his surprising plan with the resort on Monday morning.

The father-of-one is giving people the chance to win all five properties, which he has jokingly renamed ‘Portelli Town’, by entering LMCT+’s latest giveaway. The winner can either walk away with the entire Phillip Island resort or choose to receive a whopping $8 million cash tax-free in what’s been described as the biggest giveaway in Australian history.
