Spain’s all-time leading goalscorer David Villa has announced he will retire from football when the season ends with his current club in the Japanese top flight.

The 37-year-old, who plays for Vissel Kobe, will end his career having won the World Cup, European Championships and the Champions League.

He also finished with 59 goals in 98 games international games for Spain.

And finally, we have a picture that has gone viral this week, supposedly of Chelsea’s fine list.

Players can expect a fine of a £10,000 for not reporting illness or injury more than an hour and a half before training, being late for a meeting will cost a hefty £500 a minute, and £20,000 for being late to training.
