After lapping up season 2 of Emily in Paris, fans were full of questions about whether Lily Collins would make a Parisian return. Seriously, is there going to be a third series of Emily in Paris? Here's what we know so far, from release date to cast and trailer!
Has Emily In Paris season 3 been confirmed?
As of 10 January 2022, yes! The official Emily in Paris Instagram account revealed: "Say 'bonjour' to 3 & 4! 💋 EMILY IS OFFICIALLY RETURNING FOR TWO MORE SEASONS!" And, it didn't take long until the show's cast reacted to the happy news, taking to the comments section to share their excitement.
Back in August 2021, Lily Collins herself dropped a big hint about another series, when she shared behind the scenes pictures on Instagram of the cast filming series 2 with the caption 'until the next time...' She wrote in full:
"Au revoir, Paris! I feel so lucky to have spent these last few months in this beautiful city. I’m leaving here filled with so many amazing memories, special moments with my family, endless appreciation to our incredible dedicated and talented crew, and another season officially wrapped! Very excited to share it with you all soon. We’re heading home, but keeping a little piece of us here until the next time…"
What will happen in Emily In Paris season 2?
The season finale of Emily In Paris 2 left Emily with lots of big decisions to make. First off, will she work her way up at Savoir and the Gilbert Group under her Chicago boss Madeline to *finally* get that promotion, or will she join Sylvie, Luc and Julien's new agency in Paris?
Also, now that Emily knows that Gabriel and Camille are living together and back on, will she try a long-distance relationship with Alfie, or could a new French boyfriend be on the cards?
Who will star in Emily In Paris season 3?
Nothing has been officially confirmed, but we can assume Lily Collins will reprise the role of Emily alongside Ashley Parks as Mindy, Camille Razat as Camille, Lucas Bravo as Gabriel and Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu as Slyvie. Samuel Arnold as Julien and Bruno Gouery as Luc is also likely, while there are question marks over Lucien Laviscount as Alfie and Kate Walsh as Madeline, depending on which way Emily's decisions go.
The second series also introduced new characters, so there's hope for fresh faces in season three.
When will Emily In Paris season 3 be released?
So far, we haven't had much of an indication from Netflix. Season one was released in October 2020, while covid-related production delays meant season two was released in December 2021. On a similar timeline, we could assume season three will drop in late-2022, or maybe earlier 2023.
