Thomas Markle tells Meghan and Harry to 'stop whining'

Despite Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stating they had no involvement in the writing of the explosive new biography, Finding Freedom, the duchesses dad, Thomas Markle, has slammed the couple over the timing of its release.

Thomas Markle, who famously fell out with the Duchess of Sussex just before her wedding in 2018, blasted the Sussexes to The Sun, saying now is not the right time for them to be ‘whining’.

“This is the worst time in the world for them to be whining and complaining about anything — because people everywhere are suffering due to the coronavirus pandemic,” he said.

“I love my daughter but I really don’t appreciate what she’s become right now.”

Finding Freedom, which was written by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, who are described as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's "cheerleaders" say they wrote the book based on their own experiences as members of the royal press corps.

In it, they make a string of shocking allegations and claims, including details of the night before Meghan and Harry’s wedding, where the heartbroken duchess sent her dad a final text, which he reportedly failed to respond to.

Thomas Markle had been due to walk her down the aisle, however just before her big day her dad was caught staging paparazzi shots in Mexico, showing him being fitted for a suit and browsing the internet for stories on the couple.

According to the book, Meghan begged her dad to attend her wedding, however he failed to get into a waiting car the royals had sent to his house and told her he wouldn’t be coming.

Finding Freedom looks set to be one of the most controversial royal books to ever be released, with the authors going on to claim Prince Harry called William a ‘snob’ after his older brother gave him the advice to "take as much time as you need to get to know this girl" before he popped the question to Meghan Markle and that Kate Middleton completely snubbed Meghan Markle at the Sussexes last engagement as senior members of the royal family.

Other claims in the book include that:

* The Sussexes felt their complaints were not taken seriously and believed other royal households were leaking stories about them to the press.

* Being told to operate under Buckingham Palace's umbrella after splitting their household from the Cambridges was "a big disappointment" to the Sussexes.

* The Sussexes even considered breaking protocol by springing a surprise visit on the Queen when they believed they were being blocked from seeing the monarch.
