The Toledo Zoo Announces Births of Twin Siberian Tigers: 'Paw-sitively Exciting News'
The new cubs were born to parents who previously welcomed a different set of twins in 2021
The Toledo Zoo has just expanded its animal family by two!
The Ohio-based attraction announced in a Facebook post earlier this week that it welcomed twin Siberian Tiger cubs on July 20.
Born to mom Talya and dad Titan — who previously welcomed another pair of twins in 2021 — the animals weighed in at 15 and 16 pounds during their last exam earlier this month, the zoo said.
"Hold onto your stripes!!! We've got paw-sitively exciting news," the Toledo Zoo wrote in its social media statement, sharing a video of the newborns bonding and spending time with their parents.

The establishment noted that the cubs' gender will be revealed next week, and a naming contest will soon follow.

The birth of the twin Siberian Tiger cubs comes after a pair of twin polar bears were born at the Toledo Zoo last November.
The polar bear babies were born to a 24-year-old female named Crystal and an 18-year-old male named Nuka, the zoo said on Facebook at the time.
In March 2023, the zoo announced a competition to vote for the names of the cubs, and a month later the establishment revealed that the babies were named Kallik and Kallu.
"We're thrilled that Nuka was able to sire twin cubs with Crystal during his time here and can't wait for the community to meet them finally," the Toledo Zoo said.
