Tom Holland reveals heartbreaking Infinity War scene

From Digital Spy

*Spoilers, obviously*

Tom Holland's Peter Parker/Spider-Man is at the heart of one of the most shocking and heartbreaking moments in Avengers: Infinity War, but the actor has singled out a different scene as the most upsetting.

Holland appeared at Comicpalooza this weekend (May 26) and revealed to fans that he effectively knew nothing about the film, so he was able to enjoy all the shocks and twists like any other member of the audience watching it for the first time.

And he was particularly moved by the death of one character in particular.

"Yeah, I honestly didn't really know much at all which is quite fun because I'm a big fan of these movies – so being able to go to the theater and enjoy it as a fan because I knew nothing about it was great, you know?" said Holland. "Tom Hiddleston at the beginning? Heartbreaking. That killed me."

The beginning of the film sees Thanos and his goons intercept the Asgardian ship we see at the end of Thor: Ragnarok. In an attempt to make up for his many, many wrongdoings in the past, Loki (Hiddleston) tries to save his brother Thor's life by sneakily stabbing Thanos in the neck with a mystical spike thingy.

But since Thanos was always going to last longer than 10 minutes, he stops Loki, snaps his neck, and then tosses him to the floor like a dirty towel.

Holland may think his death was heartbreaking, but we're pretty sure others will say The God of Mischief had it coming.

Of course, Holland's Spider-Man is one of the many Avengers who disintegrate at the end of the film, which might upset Stan Lee, who recently said how much he admired the actor's performance as the web-swinger.

Luckily for Lee, we'll definitely be seeing more of Holland's Spider-Man in Homecoming 2 and Avengers 4.
