Police chase new clues in Lois Tolley killing
New clues have surfaced as police investigate the killing of Upper Hutt woman Lois Tolley.
Police are hoping to speak to the driver of a white ute seen in the area and the owner of a beanie found at the scene.
Ms Tolley was shot at point blank range and stabbed early on December 10 in what was an "execution" killing.
The driver of the white ute could assist the investigation because it was parked in Ward Street early on December 9 and seen driving past the scene around the time of the murder, Detective Senior Sergeant Glenn Barnett says.

"We want to know what the driver may have seen, and who was driving the ute," he said.
Police also wanted to find the owner of a beanie and single jandal found at the scene.
He also repeated descriptions of four suspects:
Male, about 1.88m tall, skinny build, aged 20s to 30s; wearing dark, baggy clothing, a hoodie with the hood up, dark low-slung pants and possibly white underwear; carrying a large, rectangular object.
Male, shorter than first suspect, skinny build; wearing dark baggy clothing.
Male, tall, lean build; wearing dark clothing, long dark pants and a hoodie with the hood up.
Male, sounded younger than the other suspects; believed to be the man seen upset outside Ms Tolley's flat.
