Travis Kelce Arrives in Buenos Aires Ahead of Taylor Swift's Second Eras Tour Show in South America
The NFL player flew to Argentina to see the singer on the second night of the international leg of her Eras Tour
On the same day that Taylor Swift postponed the second date of the Latin American leg of her Eras Tour due to inclement weather, Travis Kelce touched down in Argentina.
In video obtained by several outlets including the New York Post, the Kansas City Chiefs star was seen exiting a jet at an airport near Buenos Aires on Friday.
Wearing a cream-colored sweater, slouchy gray pants and a ball cap, the 34-year-old tight end was dressed casually for the trip, just three days after teasing the possibility of it on his New Heights podcast with his brother Jason. At the time, he said he was headed to "somewhere sunny" for his NFL bye week.
Under overcast skies, Kelce was photographed climbing into a waiting car at the airport.
However, the pop superstar was forced to postpone her show at Buenos Aires' Estadio River Plate and shared a statement on her Instagram Story, saying, “I love a rain show but I’m never going to endanger my fans or my fellow performers and crew."
According to local weather reports, lightning was detected six miles northeast of the venue around 6 p.m., rendering it unsafe for the concert to continue.
Swift said the show would be rescheduled for Sunday.
Kelce's arrival in Argentina comes one day after the NFL player attended teammate Patrick Mahomes' third annual Mahomies Foundation Gala at the Midland Theatre in Kansas City Thursday evening.

Because it was the kickoff to Swift's international leg of her Eras Tour, many had suspected Kelce would take advantage of his team's bye week to attend — especially after he hinted to his brother, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, that he was going "somewhere sunny" on the latest episode of their podcast, New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce.
“Got anything you’re looking forward to going to?” the Eagles player, 36, asked his younger brother, who had some time off from the field after the Chiefs beat the Miami Dolphins in Frankfurt, Germany, the prior weekend.
“I might just say f--- it and just go somewhere nice, I don’t know. My skin’s getting real pale so I gotta go somewhere sunny,” the tight end responded.

Kelce's South American trip in support of Swift is the latest relationship milestone as their romance continues to blossom, and the two have shown up for each other in major moments. He caught her show (and tried to pass her his number on a friendship bracelet) over the summer, while she was seen cheering in the stands at several Chiefs games throughout the fall.
The pair first sparked dating rumors when the “Love Story” singer attended a Chief games in September. But it wasn’t until the duo made a surprise appearance in New York City for the season 49 premiere of Saturday Night Live that seemingly made things official.

In late October, the pair were captured in a sweet moment, when the “You Belong With Me” songstress kissed her new beau on the cheek while they posed for a photo with Kelce's teammate, Mecole Hardman Jr., and his girlfriend, Chariah Gordon.
Swift, meanwhile, will wrap up her Buenos Aires leg on Sunday, with a rescheduled, third sold-out show.
According to TODAY, the musician told the audience during Thursday's show that “I am so incredibly lucky because the very first time that I have ever even visited Argentina, you decided to sell out three stadium shows.”
"The fact that we have a crowd this passionate, this generous, it's magical. I heard that you guys were camping out, which that is so above and beyond. I actually didn't believe it until I saw a video of you doing it," she continued, per the outlet.
