Tributes flow for pregnant Aussie mum, 39, who died suddenly

A pregnant mum is being remembered for her "warm and kind" spirit after dying suddenly at the age of 39.

Megan Fisher, a much-loved preschool educator from Wagga Wagga, NSW, died unexpectedly on October 5, leaving her partner Matthew Owen, a police officer, and children devastated.

The couple share three children — Josh, 19, Zac, 17, and Levi, nine.

Ms Fisher, who also worked for NSW Health as a nutritionist, was pregnant with their fourth child at the time of her death. The cause is not yet known.

Mr Owens' colleagues have kickstarted a fundraiser to help raise money for the mourning family, collecting over $47,000 so far — just shy of their $50,000 target.

"Matt and Megan have three loving sons, Josh, Zac and Levi. There was soon to be a fourth child as Megan was pregnant at the time of her passing," the NSW Police Legacy page reads.

"We are hoping to raise as much money as possible to assist Matt and the boys following this sudden and tragic event."

Goodstart Early Learning Estrella, where Ms Fisher worked, shared a heartwarming message on Facebook after the mum died.

"Megan was someone who was warm and kind and easily made beautiful reciprocal relationships with the children in her care," the preschool said.

"She was a wonderful, inspiring and generous educator, coworker and friend. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her."

The preschool said staff are "still coming to terms with her passing" and described her as a "beloved and valued member of our team".

Ms Fisher's sister-in-law, Mr Owens' sister, said she was "one of the most beautiful people I've ever known." She revealed the 39-year-old was 10 weeks pregnant when she died.

Meanwhile, her mother-in-law, and mother of Mr Owens, said she was like a "third daughter".

"I am going to miss her so much. My love for her knew no bounds and will continue to do so. Fly high my beautiful angel," she wrote.
