A 31-year-old model and influencer has died following a long battle with mental health issues.
Niece Waidhofer had over four million followers on social media and she was reportedly open about her struggles with mental health on her platform.
Last month, a family member concerned for Ms Waidhofer contacted authorities in Houston, Texas and the 31-year-old was found at her home when law enforcement went to check on her.
Her family confirmed to TMZ that she died by suicide, saying she had battled with mental health issues for a long time.
"She was very open with her followers about her struggles, even wanting to help followers who also suffered," the family said in the statement.
"Niece was more than her struggles. She was beautiful and kind, sensitive and funny, creative and talented, generous and compassionate, thoughtful and challenging."
Before her death, her Instagram page was wiped, causing concern among her followers, TMZ reported. There are currently only three posts left on her Instagram.
A non-profit fund to benefit mental health research and raise awareness will be established in Ms Waidhofer's name, TMZ reported.
Tributes on social media started rolling in after TMZ broke the news of Ms Waidhofer's death.
One person on Twitter said it was "really sad", adding she was "very funny and clearly super smart".
In addition to her online presence, Ms Waidhofer also starred in the film, The Legend of DarkHorse County as Anna Rothschild, and an earlier movie called Project Aether.
