The UFC witnessed one of the most 'absurd' knockouts after rising star Jiri Prochazka delivered on the big stage.
Fighting his second former title contender in the light heavyweight division, Czech Republic star Prochazka had Dominic Reyes on the back foot in a crazy fight.
After Reyes landed some solid strikes, including a brutal up kick, in the first two rounds some thought he would finish the fight.
But the Czech fighter pushed forward and with a little more than 30 seconds left in the second, Prochazka bombarded Reyes with numerous strikes before landing a spinning elbow.
Reyes crumpled against the octagon out cold and Prochazka didn't follow up as he celebrated the devastating finish.
Fans were rightfully in awe of the crazy fight and the 'absurd' ending.
Prochazka wants to learn from UFC experience
Prochazka was humble in victory and said he would have to work on some of his mistakes if he was to come up against champion Jan Blachowic or Glover Teixeira next.
“The other side for myself is just to live in the forest in a small house and practice day by day, just practicing and going for the mastery day by day,” he said.
“Nothing else. I think that’s the most real thing inside me now.”
He later added: “There were so many chances to end the fight earlier."
“I don’t want to be in the cage so long. Why be in there so long? I need to work on the mastery.”
Prochazka picked up the $100,000 for Fight of the Night and Performance of the Night.
He joked it was his unusual hair style, which worked as an “antenna to catch those ideas” for the brutal spinning elbow.
