UFC fighter hospitalised after 'domestic violence' incident
UFC fighter Rachael Ostovich was hospitalised recently after being attacked in a domestic violence incident in Honolulu, Hawaii.
It’s not clear when the attack took place or what transpired, but TMZ reported that the person who allegedly attacked Ostovich was someone “close to her”.
TMZ later confirmed with the Honolulu Police Department that a felony domestic violence investigation has been opened. No arrests have been made.
ESPN confirmed with Ostovich’s manager Brian Butler-Au that Ostovich had suffered a broken orbital bone in the attack and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
She has since been released. No further details of the attack have been made available.
Ostovich, a 27-year-old flyweight, was a contestant on The Ultimate Fighter 26 in 2017 and was brought back for the live finale of that season despite losing earlier in the competition.
She also fought in the finale of The Ultimate Fighter 27 in July, suffering a submission loss. Ostovich is 4-4 in MMA and 1-1 in UFC.

Ostovich was scheduled to fight Paige VanZant on January 19 for the UFC’s ESPN+ debut. But with Ostovich’s injury, that fight is now in question.
