Ukrainian Special Forces are constantly innovating tactics to target Russian vessels in Crimea, Andriy Yusov, spokesperson for Ukrainian military intelligence (HUR), revealed in response to the recent strike on a Russian speedboat, the Mangust, Radio Svoboda reported on May 7.

While the Russians adapt by constructing new barriers in various ways across different areas, the HUR special forces approach each operation uniquely, ensuring unpredictability, Yusov said.

"Despite their attempts to hide, move, or fortify ships, and construct new barriers, our tactics with HUR and the Magura prove highly effective," Yusov said.

"Another three million dollars lost to the depths."

Sources in the Ukrainian intelligence told NV that overnight on May 5- 6, the HUR hit a Russian speedboat near the Vuzka Bay in Crimea. Later, the HUR officially confirmed this information and said that the Russian speedboat was successfully hit by a Magura V5 maritime attack drone from the intelligence’s Group 13 unit.

The then Navy spokesman Dmytro Pletenchuk said in April that the Russian Black Sea Fleet had lost a third of its ships since the start of the full-scale invasion.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported in a summary as of May 6 that Russia lost 26 warships and military boats, and one submarine.
