Ulrika Jonsson has revealed she likes dating men younger than her because they don’t know who she is.
The former Gladiators star, 54, began her TV career back in the late 80s and said that one of the benefits of going out with younger men is that they just take her for who she is now.
Jonsson – who has been looking for romance on television show Celebs Go Dating – opened up about her love life on Loose Women, saying that she had dated men as young as 26 lately.
She told the panellists: “Recent ones, I've only really had dates, I guess, I have not had a relationship with anybody – but the dates have been a little bit younger, yes.”
“I guess the youngest was 26, so yes, 26, 30 ish," she said with a smile.
Jonsson went on: “The nice thing, a few times, was the fact that they didn't know I was Ulrika Jonsson, which was great. Because that’s kind of always the dream, to have somebody just take you for who you are rather than sort of what you are and what they might know about you.”
The mum-of-four added that she found it very “refreshing”.
The TV star has been married three times in the past.
She was married to cameraman John Turnbull from 1990 to 1995 and they had one son, Cameron.
She tied the knot with Lance Gerrard-Wright in 2003 and they had daughter Martha before splitting in 2006.
The star was married to third husband Brian Monet for 11 years before they went their separate ways in 2019. They share a son, Malcolm.
Jonsson also has a daughter named Bo with her former partner Marcus Kempen.
