Unvaccinated Pauline Hanson tests positive to Covid days before election

Senator Pauline Hanson has tested positive for Covid and is in isolation just days before the federal election.

The unvaccinated One Nation leader revealed to KIIS-FM’s Kyle and Jackie O radio show on Thursday morning that she had fallen ill with the virus.

“You really want to know?” Ms Hanson responded to questions about how she was doing.

“I’m up to s**t, I’ve got Covid,” she spluttered during a bout of coughing.

The senator said she had travelled the country while campaigning, but caught the virus last week while in “the most locked-down state”, referring to Western Australia.

Ms Hanson — who vowed to never get a Covid vaccine during a tirade against the World Health Organization late last year — revealed she has still avoided the jab.

“I told you that before, I’m not getting vaccinated,” she told the radio hosts.

“Jesus, now look,” Kyle Sandilands responded to her admission.

“Guess what, I haven’t been in hospital, I’m still kicking, I’m alive, I’m fine,” the audibly ill Ms Hanson said, describing her illness as a “headache cold”.

She said she tested positive for Covid last Saturday and will be released from isolation on Election Day, calling the incident “disappointing”.

The senator made a bizarre post on Twitter following the interview.

“I can confirm I am at home self-isolating after testing positive for Covid,” she wrote alongside a graphic featuring a photo of herself and a positive RAT with the words “I will survive, to some people’s disgust”.

“I thank all of those people who have sent their well wishes, and I look forward to disappointing all of those who hope that I drop dead.”

Pauline Hanson: 'Not an anti-vaxxer'

Previously, the One Nation leader claimed she is “not an anti-vaxxer” despite rejecting the shot.

“I’ll tell you honestly: I haven’t had the jab, I don’t intend to have the jab, I’m not putting that s*** in my body,” she was filmed telling a crowd of people at a "businesses for choice" event in Ipswich, Queensland, in December.

In the footage, Ms Hanson says she's “taken a stance”.

“That is my choice. I’m not an anti-vaxxer, but I am very careful what I put into my body. I felt that I’ve kept pretty good health all my life, and I intend to keep it that way.

“I don’t intend to listen to bureaucrats or politicians, or UN or WHO pushing their own agenda and take away my freedoms, my rights, my choices when that’s why I’m fighting this issue and so should you.”
