Three cars have been damaged in an arson attack in Ballymena near a home where three children and two adults were inside.

The fire in the Dunclug Park area was reported in the early hours of Friday morning.

The vehicles were damaged by fire after a carport was set alight in the attack.

There are no reports of injuries but the police are treating is as arson with intent to endanger life and have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
