  • The following days, on Sept. 3 and Sept. 4, Judge replied to Gunvalson’s comments, saying she doesn't "give a s---," and then tearfully asked Gunvalson to leave her family alone

  • A week later, on Sept. 11, Gunvalson replied to Judge's requests and said she was crying because she "wants attention"

Vicki Gunvalson is responding to Tamra Judge’s recent request asking Gunvalson not to talk about Judge and her family.

Gunvalson, 62, joined the Hollywood Raw podcast on Wednesday, Sept. 11, and said Judge, 57, pleaded with Gunvalson because she “wants attention.” During her conversation with co-hosts Dax Holt and Adam Glyn, Gunvalson responded to her former The Real Housewives of Orange County costar’s Wednesday, Sept. 4 request that Gunvalson stop discussing her and her estranged daughter, Sidney Barney.

Judge's tearful ask was in response to Gunvalson’s comments on the Monday, Sept. 2 episode of My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast.

“There were no tears. She's a good actress,” Gunvalson, who currently appears as a "friend" on RHOC, said Wednesday. “If she really, really cared about me and our friendship, she'd call me off camera and say, ‘Let's sit down, let's meet, let's call each other, let's FaceTime each other.’ ”

“We don't need to show anything to the public,” Gunvalson clarified. “I think it's all bulls---. I think she was just looking for drama. I don't have people like that in my life. My people in my life would do anything for me, and I will do anything for them.”

Gunvalson explained that her relationship with Judge is now a “work friendship.”

“I don't look at her as somebody I'd call as a friend because friends don't treat friends that way, whether it's treating me this way or treating Shannon [Beador] this way. You don't treat people like that,” Gunvalson said about Judge's reaction to RHOC costar Beador’s September 2023 DUI.

As for commenting on Judge and her daughter’s strained relationship, Gunvalson reaffirmed she doesn’t feel bad for bringing it up. “She keeps talking about it all the time. Every season, 'My daughter doesn't talk to me,' ” she said. “Like, if you don't want anyone to know, then stop talking about it.”

Gunvalson’s remarks follow the 2016 revelation that Judge has not spoken to her eldest daughter since her 2011 divorce from Sidney’s father, Simon Barney. The mother and daughter are still estranged. Judge shares three children, Sophia, 18, Spencer, 23, and Sidney, 25, with ex-husband Simon. She also shares Ryan Vieth, 38, with ex-husband Darren Vieth.

“Sidney has a very strong opinion of Tamra,” Gunvalson said on the My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast Sept. 2 episode, adding that Sidney wants her mother to leave the Bravo series and “stop embarrassing the family.”

“That shows Sidney, ‘I’m not important to you,' ” she continued. “Reconcile with your daughter! It’s pretty simple.”

Judge countered in her Tuesday, Sept. 3 Instagram Stories, saying she didn’t “give a s---” about Gunvalson's comments. Her post was shared on the Bravo fan Instagram account Bravohousewives.

Judge added in her Sept. 4 Instagram Stories, “Do you know what it's like to lose a child? It's the most painful thing in the world [and] to insinuate it was because I was on [The Real Housewives of Orange County]. No, that's not what it is.” Concluding, "Just please leave my family alone!"
