And her dreams are coming closer to reality after landing a part in *Perth *-shot family film Paper Planes, also starring Sam Worthington.

After recently winning the inaugural $100,000 CinefestOZ Film Prize, Paper Planes is now taking the Toronto International Film Festival by storm.

Trunfio flew into Toronto at the weekend to promote the Robert Connolly-directed film with Ed Oxenbould who plays her son in the film, about the boy's desire to go to the World Paper Plane Championships in Japan.

"So excited to be joining the cast and crew of a film I am so honoured to be a part of at Toronto Film Festival today. #actressintraining #samworthington #robertconnolly #edoxenbould #TIFF," Trunfio tweeted excitedly ahead of her appearance.
