The clip titled 'Alien ship on Lunar surface' was shared on Youtube just before Christmas and has since been viewed over 33,000 times.
“I don't know what else it could be,” the poster Streetcap1 wrote alongside the clip.
He claims the snaps are from the Chinese Chang'e 3 lunar rover, launched in 2013.
“Look at the detail. No brightness or colour adjustments have been made at all, this is exactly how it appears on the Chinese Chang'e 3 Photographs,” he said.
Many viewers dubbed the images “spectacular” or “fantastic”.
“Wow, that's pretty cool. more proof were not the only ones out there,” one person commented.
“More people need to see it? Alien ship or not it is something that shouldn’t be ignored,” another said.
However many were quick to call out the truth-seeker, calling the images fake.
“Not sure that this was shot on the moon, unless the moon has now started to grow grass,” one person wrote.
“I want to believe this picture, but how do we know it's not a fake picture?”
The original poster responded to the allegations a day later after uploading another video.
"I take great pride in my work and believe I'm getting quite good at it. When people accuse me of cheating it makes me angry,” he said.
"This is my reply to those that would brand my channel fake."
