Jaws dropped as pint-sized Angelica belted out a pitch-perfect version of Alicia Keys' ‘This Girl is On Fire’, with AGT judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Mel B, Howie Mandell and guest Chris Hardwick left stunned by her voice.
Chris was so impressed, he hit the Golden Buzzer, meaning the Atlanta-based singer will be showing off her skills again in the live shows.
“Chris Hardwick just gave me the Golden Buzzer — I’m going straight to the live shows!” Angelica squealed.
“My heart was pounding out of my chest. When the golden confetti like popped, like all the breath was stolen out of me.”
It’s an incredible journey for Angelica, who almost died when she was four years old after developing a bacterial infection in her lungs that worsened to the point where she was put on life support.
After 80 days in hospital, Angelica bravely battled through and underwent a kidney transplant in 2013.
Here's hoping her next performance is as stellar as this one!
