WATCH: Prince William makes worst-ever faux pas

You’d think that with all the time he spends schmoozing and shaking hands, Prince William would be an expert at small talk.

But the full-time royal recently proved that he’s just as capable of creating awkward moments as the rest us.

The father of two was caught in the most cringe-worthy of moments while visiting a hospital last week.

He was sitting down on a female patient’s bed when she told him, “I got dressed up for you today.”

“You look very smart, very nice,” the prince replied diplomatically, before everything fell apart.

“Are they your best pyjamas?” he asked, and without missing a beat, she replied, “No, these are my best clothes”. Awkward…
