Watch Selena Gomez Give A Rare, 24-Minute Look Into Her Life With Her Friends

From ELLE

Selena Gomez has been in New York City shooting Only Murders in the Building for the past couple months.

On Sunday night, (February 21) she did a rare Instagram Live as her friends prepped dinner where she gave a candid look at the gorgeous home she has been staying and what life has been like there with her roommates.

Gomez addressed a lot on her Instagram Live, even revealing an upcoming track name from her Spanish album REVELACIÓN, Buscando Amor, a song she's excited about. At one point, she invited her Only Murders in the Building co-star Aaron Dominguez (who plays her love interest on the show, she revealed) to join her.

She roasted him for not joining her dinner despite being invited and overall gave fans a look into their playful dynamic as friends. You can see exactly why they were cast together, with all their flirty banter and natural chemistry.

Selena Gomez fan account TheSelenaRundown posted the full broadcast in two Instagram posts, which you can watch below.

Gomez answered a lot of fan questions during the video. Here are the highlights of everything she revealed on the live.

  • On who she's living with: Gomez lives with 'four roommates' currently. Fox Atticus Martindale, who Gomez spent Valentine's Day with along with his girlfriend and her friend Anna Collins, was pretty visible throughout the live. Gomez described him as 'like my brother, and he drives me crazy sometimes.'

  • On whether she'll be doing more acting and if she's working on more music: 'I will be doing movies. I will be doing more movies. I’m really excited.' She added later, 'I am making music. I’m constantly making music.'

  • Gomez is obsessed with Britney Spears, by the way: When she was asked what three people she would have dinner with, dead or alive, Gomez said, 'Kurt Cobain, probably Britney, and I am obsessed with someone [else], I’m sure.'

  • On what her Hulu series Only Murders in the Building is about: 'Only Murders in the Building is basically—I’m not going spoil anything, Fox. Fox is like my brother, and he drives me crazy sometimes—but the show is actually really fun. It’s kind of a dramedy, so there’s moments that are real and then there are other moments that are complete chaos and hilarious. I’m working with Steve Martin and Martin Short and if you don’t know their work, by the way, they’re pretty amazing people to be around.'

  • On her perfect getaway: 'As long as I’m with my friends, it doesn’t really matter.'

  • On what it's been like singing in Spanish for REVELACIÓN: 'I enjoy so much being able to go back a little bit to my heritage and spending time working on something that took a lot of determination and a lot of passion, and I’m actually really happy with the final product.'

  • On her skincare routine: 'My skincare routine, so all I do is I keep it pretty simple. I use La Mer to wash my face and then I use lotion. My favourite product of mine is the luminiser so I actually end up using that with the primer at the same time. My primer is something I’m very, very proud of. If you could just wear my primer, I promise you it’s pretty much all you need.'

  • On Blackpink, who she collaborated with for the song Ice Cream: 'I wish I could work with Blackpink all the time.'

  • On whether Rare Beauty will eventually have a skincare line: '[I]don’t know [if Rare Beauty will have skincare products]. Here’s the reason why: I respect very very much on how people individually have their own skincare product routine so I would never be someone that can tell you I know everything about skin and what’s right for you. So it’s very very different for each person so I’m just going say that. I don’t know if Rare will do that, but all I want to know what works for everybody else so. That’s hard. That’s actually harder than makeup.'

  • On her typical Sunday night: 'Today we went out to lunch—this is so stupid, I don’t know why I’m doing this, but—and then we went shopping, but we didn’t buy anything. And then, afterwards, we came home, watched a scary movie, [and] dinner is now officially ready.' She added later, 'I don’t have a favourite scary movie.'

  • On her book picks: 'I love to read. I just finished Matthew McConaughey’s book [Greenlights], now I am working on a book called Present Over Perfect and then there’s another book called Little Broken Things. That is my suggestions.'

  • On whether she's an ARMY: 'I love BTS.'

  • On if she'd dye her hair blonde again: 'Would you ever go back to blonde?' she read and nodded. 'One thousand percent.'

  • And on why she doesn't stay on social media long, after just looking at viewer comments briefly at the end: 'I think now people are getting rude. So, another reason I don’t stay on social media for too long, but I am so glad I was able to talk to you guys.'
