All about Maddison Brown, Liam Hemsworth's rumoured new girlfriend

Australian actor Maddison Brown’s name is currently on everyone’s lips after she was spotted sharing a passionate kiss with newly-single fellow Aussie star, Liam Hemsworth in New York City on Thursday.

Fresh from his split from wife Miley Cyrus, the 29-year-old Isn’t It Romantic hunk has appeared to have moved on with Maddison, with the pair laying on the PDA on the streets of the Big Apple.

But before Maddison exploded onto the scene as Liam’s rumoured new girlfriend, the fresh-faced star got candid during an exclusive chat with host Danny Clayton on BUILD Series Sydney.

Who is Maddison Brown?

Maddison Brown is a 22-year-old actor and model from Sydney, Australia.

She has two older sisters, one of whom, Nikki, got married earlier this year. Maddison served as one of the bridesmaids.

At the tender age of 16, Maddison left high school and headed to the bright lights of New York City to pursue her catwalk dreams.

There, she modelled for designers such as Miu Miu, Jasper Conrad and House of Holland, as well as Vogue magazine.

“I look back at it now and I go, ‘I don’t know how I did that,’” she admitted to Danny but added that she was a “very responsible” 16-year-old.

As an aspiring model, Maddison looked up to fellow Aussies Gemma Ward and Miranda Kerr who she actually met at a David Jones event.

Maddison’s big break on Dynasty

After storming the runway, Maddison made the transition to the big screen, landing a role as Oscar winner Nicole Kidman’s daughter in the 2015 feature film, Strangerland.

“I had my seventeenth birthday on set in Broken Hill,” she recalled of the ‘life-changing’ experience.

The following year, she played a young Anna Marcy in the 2016 Aussie TV series, The Kettering Incident.

Then in 2018, Maddison landed the plum role of Kirby Anders, the butler’s daughter, in the CW drama Dynasty, a re-make of the iconic '80s soap opera of the same name.

The highly-anticipated third season of Dynasty aired on October 11.

“It’s a very exciting show to be on,” she told Danny, adding that she often works 16-hour days on set.

Maddison’s very first role, however, was when she appeared in the 2004 TV movie Go Big at the tender age of six.

Where does Maddison live?

While she spends months at a time living in Atlanta, Georgia, where the show is filmed, Maddison still calls Australia ‘home’.

“Sydney will always be home, it's hard to leave every time I leave. I don't want to,” she told Danny.

“Being around Australians is great,” she added.

In fact, Maddison said her home country is one of the things that makes her most happy, along with “all food” and her dog, Poppy.

Is Maddison Brown on Instagram?

Yes, Maddison is very active on her Instagram account, @maddisonbrown, posting pics of her work, friends, outfits and travels.

She also makes sure to share her love for her home country and make her political views, such as the recent climate strikes, heard.

In fact, she admitted to Danny that she’s a little bit addicted to the social media site, and spends a lot of time scrolling while in her trailer.

“I’m loathed to admit this but I’m probably on Instagram [between scenes], it’s something I’m not proud of,” she laughed.

Liam has yet to pop up on her feed, but here’s hoping they make it Insta official soon.

How long have Liam and Maddison been dating?

While it’s unclear exactly when the suspected new couple got together, it seems like Maddison has harboured a crush on her Aussie beau for a while.

Back in June, Maddison dropped some major hints about her feelings toward the homegrown hunk - and his older brother - during a raunchy game of ‘F***, marry, kill?’ on a radio show.

When faced with choosing between Liam and Chris on the Zach Sang Show, the star said she wouldn’t mind getting down and dirty with both Hemsworth siblings!

“Are they a package deal?” she asked, giggling.

At the time, Liam was of course still married to Miley following their intimate at-home nuptials in December 2018.

Liam and Maddison’s steamy NYC date

Fast-forward a few months and Maddison and Liam, who split from Miley in August, were captured getting very cosy in pictures obtained by Daily Mail.

The pair looked to be on a steamy date night which included drinks at NYC bar Flower Shop followed by a visit to the Alley Cat amateur theatre.

At one stage a grinning Liam was snapped wrapping his arms around his new lady love and even cheekily nestling his face in her chest.

Two dates, one day

Liam and Maddison’s romantic evening isn’t the first time they’ve stepped out together.

Earlier that same day, the ‘inseparable’ duo were spotted hand-in-hand on a low-key lunch date at the West Village restaurant Sant Ambroeus.

“Liam was in dark sunglasses and kept them on for their lunch. When Liam and Maddison walked into the restaurant, he was holding her hand,” an onlooker reported.

“The entire restaurant turned heads when they arrived, but it was unclear if patrons knew who he was or were just staring because Liam had such a presence ... Liam asked for a table outside and had his arm around Maddison's back while they were escorted to their table,” they added.

Liam and the blonde beauty reportedly sat at their outdoor table at the restaurant for just over an hour, but fellow diners insist no lip-locking took place.

“Liam and Maddison were both smiling and laughing a little, but there was no kissing or PDA. They looked really great together and seemed very at ease with each other. It was romantic, but they seemed like friends enjoying each other's company,” an eyewitness told Us Weekly magazine.

If the photos are anything to go by, the smitten couple were saving their PDA for later that evening when they put on a very open and hands-on display.

Miley and Liam moving on

The news comes after it was recently reported that while Liam hadn’t officially begun seeing anyone he was ready to move on following his August split from 26-year-old Miley.

“He hasn't been dating anyone. But he's open to meeting people,” a source said of the Hunger Games star.

Liam filed for divorce from Miley several days after they called time on their eight-month marriage, after she was pictured kissing Kaitlynn Carter on a romantic holiday in Italy.

The “Slide Away” hitmaker has since ended things with the Hills: New Beginnings star, and is now loved up with another Aussie, Cody Simpson.

Miley was first snapped locking lips with the 22-year-old homegrown heartthrob on October 3, just two weeks after she called time on Kaitlynn.

Since then, Cody and Miley have flaunted their budding romance on social media, with the “Surfboard” singer penning poems and love songs for his lady and even visiting her during a recent hospital stay for tonsillitis.

Miley appears equally head-over-heels, calling Cody her ‘BF’ (aka ‘boyfriend’) on Instagram.
