By now, it's likely you'll have heard all about Princess Beatrice's surprise wedding to the Italian count, Edo Mapelli Mozzi – congratulations, guys! But many were left wondering whether or not Beatrice's father, Prince Andrew, was in attendance (last November he stepped away from his senior royal role, and thus the spotlight, amidst controversy over his friendship with convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein).

The Duke of York has been notably absent from any official photos of the wedding. He has consistently denied any wrong doing in regards to the Epstein scandal, including an allegation made by Virginia Roberts Giuffre that he slept with her when she was a teenager. His legal team recently released a statement saying that he had attempted to help authorities with their investigations multiple times too, despite US prosecutors saying they'd "welcome" a statement from him.

As for the wedding, sources told The Telegraph that despite not appearing in any portraits shared with the public so far, that Prince Andrew was indeed there on his daughter's big day – and even walked her down the aisle.

Apparently this was something that Beatrice had long been preparing for, having had the foresight to quarantine with both her parents at the Royal Lodge "for some time", so that no social distancing rules would be broken during the special moment. This comes in contrast to previous reports, which said Beatrice and Edo were staying in his family home (so perhaps they switched locations at some point during the lockdown, or after some rules were eased).

On the subject of adhering to the coronavirus-related guidelines, Buckingham Palace released a statement confirming the event took place "in accordance with all relevant government guidelines". Current rules state that weddings in England are restricted to just 30 guests, and of course Beatrice and Edo's was no exception, playing out as an intimate affair with just close family and friends in attendance.

According to the Royal family's official Instagram account, the wedding took place at the Royal Chapel of All Saints at Royal Lodge in Windsor, with a "small private ceremony". Other known guests included Beatrice's mother, Sarah Ferguson (who it's thought played a major part in planning the wedding in just a few weeks), Edoardo's son Wolfie, The Queen and Prince Philip, and Beatrice's younger sister, Princess Eugenie. Little three-year-old Wolfie took on the role of Edoardo's best man and page boy.

Congratulations again, Beatrice and Edo!
