William and Kate to ‘keep George out of limelight’ after outfit criticism
Prince William and Kate Middleton may choose to keep Prince George away from the public eye after he received harsh criticism for his outfit, according to new claims.
The seven-year-old future king's suit was harshly critiqued by users online after he wore the look to the Euro 2020 final between England and Italy on Sunday.
While many people on social media complimented the prince’s smart attire and ‘mature look’, others were angry that he didn’t wear an England shirt to the match
Royal expert Robert Jobson has now said that the public’s attitude may cause William and Kate to take him out of the spotlight for a while.

“Some were critical about him wearing a shirt and tie like his dad which I thought was very harsh,” Jobson said on Sunrise.
“He has been very popular but I think they are going to try and keep him out of the limelight a little bit… They are very conscious of that.”
It was reportedly Kate's decision to dress Prince George in a suit, which was said to be an area of contention between her and William.
Former French tennis star Marion Bartoli, who spoke with Kate at Wimbledon earlier this week, revealed that the royal couple had a disagreement over their son’s attire.
“Yesterday I had an afternoon tea with the Duchess and it was very much a discussion whether George will be allowed to wear the jersey tonight at Wembley or not,” she claimed on BBC Radio 5 Live.
“William was for it, Kate not so keen.”
Following the grand final, William took to Twitter to describe England’s loss as “heartbreaking” and condemned the racist attacks against members of their football team.
“I am sickened by the racist abuse aimed at England players after last night’s match,” he wrote online.
“It is totally unacceptable that players have to endure this abhorrent behaviour. It must stop now and all those involved should be held accountable.”
It didn’t take long for followers to accuse him of being a hypocrite for defending the sportsmen but not his sister-in-law Meghan Markle, who alleged that she faced racism within the palace.
“Good. Now do that for Meghan Markle,” one user replied.
“We're waiting for a similar statement about the racial abuse against your sister-in-law and nephew. Thanks in advance," another added.
