Windsor father of two wins $2M lottery prize
A Windsor man won a two-million dollar lottery prize after years of buying lottery tickets.
David Glysinskie of Windsor purchased the winning ticket at Busy Bee Convenience store on Tecumseh Road West, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation said in a statement.
Glysinskie says he played the ticket at home, and was in denial when he first realized that he won.
"I saw the prize of $100,000 and was so happy," he said. "When I discovered I had actually won twenty times the original prize, I froze."
The father of two was excited to share the news with his family, telling his wife, "We're retired!"
"I also called friends and family to share the news. Everyone was filled with pure joy and gratitude for my good fortune."
He told OLG he plans to invest his winnings in his retirement plan and his children's future.
