Wisconsin AG says Jacob Blake probe in final stages

Attorney General Kaul said that District Attorney Michael Graveley asked him to select an independent consultant to review the August 23 shooting. Kaul said he picked Wisconsin native and retired Madison Police Chief Noble Wray as ideally suited for the task.

Officials say the next phase in this case will be Chief Wray's review of the file and preparation of his analysis. They say Wray's analysis will assist the district attorney in his review of the facts and their relationship with standard law enforcement practices as he makes a charging decision.

According to local CBS affiliate WDJT, Wisconsin's Division of Criminal Investigation is leading this investigation and is assisted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Wisconsin State Patrol and Kenosha County Sheriff's Office.
