Woman's incredible secret to bikini transformation

This woman reckons she’s found the secret to the perfect bikini body – and it’s a rather unconventional one.

Port Macquarie entrepreneur and Moana bikini designer Karina Irby, is a swimwear designer by trade, so she has a vested interest in trying to look as hot as possible.

She’s 27, and for the last four years has been doing some hard thinking about her health and fitness routine. She shared the results in an eye-opening Instagram post that may just change the way you feel about cardio.

“I thought I'd share a few of my past photos from 2013 to present day,” she says alongside a three-way photo of herself through the years.

Starting at the one on the left where she’s visibly skinnier than the others, Karina says, “2013 - I was a total cardio head!

“I loved going for long runs. I had no idea about what foods I should be eating and no idea about health and fitness in general. I wasn't eating nearly enough of the right food, or food at all to be fuelling my body.”

Moving on to the second photo, that was taken a year later, the designer explains that she was going to the gym twice or three times a week for cardio but “had no idea what I was doing and how to perform the exercises correctly. Still not eating enough food to fuel my body and muscles”.

The big transformation comes into play in the last photo that shows her figure has grown significantly curvier, and was taken this year.

“I've been working out, hard, for the past 2-3 years. I started at a personal training gym @starke_fitness and participated in four, 45 min sessions a week,” she says.

“I lift weights, heavy weights! I only do cardio once or twice a week, but still incorporate weights into my exercises.

“I eat well and I eat a lot.”

Her weight loss meal plan actually meant eating more - but of the right foods- and it really helped take Karina to the next level. It’s advice that a lot of men stick to, but women seem to find a little harder.
